Bridgeworks Is Hiring Part-Time Community Managers in Long Beach, NY

2026-08-07

Bridgeworks is looking for a minimum of two part-time Community Managers to join our team in Long Beach.

This role is a mix of community building, hospitality, sales, events, and day-to-day operations. You'll help create a great experience for members, give tours to prospective customers, support events and bookings, build relationships throughout Long Beach, and have the opportunity to earn uncapped commission on the business you help generate.

We're looking for people who are outgoing, organized, commercially minded, and comfortable taking ownership of a space during their shifts. Each Community Manager will typically work 10–20 hours per week, with schedules built around Bridgeworks' coverage needs and individual availability.

The position starts at $17 per hour plus uncapped commissions, including commissions on new memberships, events, studio bookings, and other qualifying business.

If you're looking for a flexible part-time role where you can meet interesting people, become more connected to the Long Beach community, and directly participate in the growth of a local business, we'd love to hear from you.

Full job description and application details are below.

Community Manager — Bridgeworks

Long Beach, NY (on-site) · Part-time · Minimum 2 openings · 10–20 hours/week

Compensation: $17/hr + uncapped commissions — one month's fee on self-sourced monthly memberships of $300+/month once the member has remained active and paid for 90 days, and 10% on self-sourced on-demand packages. Because memberships are month-to-month, membership commissions are paid only after that 90-day retention threshold is reached. Bridgeworks-generated leads you close pay half the applicable commission. All commissions are paid on the 15th of the following month after becoming eligible.

About Bridgeworks

Bridgeworks (bridgeworkslongbeach.com) is the premier coworking & office space of Long Beach — 780 Long Beach Blvd. Private offices, open desks, event spaces, podcast and video studios, a café, and a community of freelancers, founders, and teams who chose to work where they live.

We're hiring a minimum of two part-time Community Managers who work hourly schedules of approximately 10–20 hours per week each. Together, you'll make this place feel like that, treating the events calendar like a book of business. During your shifts, this is your building: you'll be the first face members see, the reason tours convert, and the owner of a real revenue line with real upside attached.

Everyone in the role has the same responsibilities, same hourly pay, and same uncapped commission structure. We'll build schedules around the coverage Bridgeworks needs and each manager's availability, with each person typically working 10–20 hours per week. Clear handoffs keep the team connected — a tour one manager starts may be closed by another later in the week. Occasional evening and weekend events are shared flexibly across the team.

What you'll actually do

  • Sell the space. Memberships, offices, and event bookings — corporate offsites, private events, product shoots, podcast productions — are yours to hunt, close, and host. You earn full commission on qualifying business you source and close, and half commission when Bridgeworks generates the lead and you close it.
  • Own the member experience. Greet, onboard, and know every member by name. Anticipate what they need before they file a ticket about it — from a booked board room to a surfboard rack. It's essential to run a premium member experience.
  • Run tours that convert. Walk prospects through the space, match them to the right membership, and follow up like you mean it.
  • Program the calendar. Plan and host member events — happy hours, lunch-and-learns, beach cleanups, podcast nights in our production studios — that fill the room and feed the pipeline. Tonight's free member mixer is next month's paid corporate booking.
  • Keep the space sharp. Open and close as scheduled, coordinate vendors, manage bookings and the café, and make sure the details (coffee, Wi-Fi, printers, ping pong paddles) never become someone's bad day.
  • Tell our story. Capture the community for our social channels and local partnerships — you'll have professional content studios down the hall, so use them.
  • Work the neighborhood. Local businesses, the chamber, schools, nonprofits — every organization in Long Beach needs a venue sometimes. Make sure Bridgeworks is the first call.

You're probably our person if

  • You genuinely like people — hosting comes naturally, and remembering names is a habit, not a chore
  • You've sold something before — event space, catering, memberships, sponsorships — or you're the organizer friend who could
  • You're organized enough to run a building and flexible enough to handle the day nothing goes to plan
  • You write well enough to send a member newsletter no one deletes
  • The idea of uncapped upside motivates you more than a fixed number ever could
  • A flexible 10–20 hour workweek fits your life — you're a student, a parent, a freelancer, or building something of your own outside your Bridgeworks hours
  • You live in or near Long Beach (or want a commute that ends two blocks from the ocean)

What you get

  • $17/hr base pay — solid, predictable, yours no matter what
  • Monthly memberships ($300+/month): Because Bridgeworks memberships are month-to-month rather than long-term contracts, you earn one full month of the membership fee when you source and close a member, but the commission becomes eligible only after the member has remained active and paid for 90 days.
  • On-demand packages: Earn 10% of the package price on self-sourced bookings, including events and other on-demand packages.
  • Bridgeworks-generated leads: If Bridgeworks generates the lead and you close it, you earn 50% of the applicable commission — half of one month's fee on a qualifying membership, or 5% of the package price on an on-demand booking.
  • Commission payouts: All commissions are paid on the 15th of the following month after they become eligible. For memberships, that means the first 15th after the member reaches 90 paid days.
  • A flexible part-time schedule — typically 10–20 hours per week, with room for the rest of your life
  • A workspace membership of your own — plus the café and the studios
  • Real ownership: the community experience during your shifts and your slice of the events revenue line are yours to run
  • A team building the future of local workspaces — Bridgeworks is part of the DropDesk family, so you'll work with tools most coworking spaces don't have

What the commission can look like

Say you source and close the following business:

For example, if you bring in and close a two-person private office membership at $1,300 per month, you earn a $1,300 commission once that member has remained active and paid for 90 days. If the lead was generated by Bridgeworks and you close it, your commission would be $650.

If you book a private event for four hours at $200 per hour, generating $800 in revenue, you earn an $80 commission. If Bridgeworks generated the lead, you earn $40.

If you book two podcast sessions at $450 each, generating $900 in revenue, you earn $90. If those leads came from Bridgeworks, you earn $45.

In this example, you would earn $1,470 in commission if you generated the business yourself, or $735 if the opportunities were generated by Bridgeworks and you closed them.

Once eligible, that business produces $1,470 in commission if self-sourced, or $735 if all three were Bridgeworks-generated leads you closed. That sits on top of roughly $735–$1,475 in monthly base pay at 10–20 hours per week. Because memberships are month-to-month, the membership commission does not become payable until the member has remained active and paid for 90 days; it is then paid on the 15th of the following month.

No caps, no quotas. Source and close the business and you earn the full applicable commission. Close a Bridgeworks-generated lead and you earn half. Commission credit follows the business, not the day the booking lands on.
